PSA also has the audacity to charge people an entry fee of $50 to participate in what is basically a publicity stunt for them. |

It's kind of like a raffle or legalized gambling - you pay $50 with the hope of winning the pot, except in this case it's not left to pure chance, your skill will determine your chances. Still, $50? Is PSA financially hurting that they need to charge someone $50 to enter? They not only get tons of free publicity, but they also get the entire contest paid for by the contestants, and that's only if there are 50 contestants participating. If they allow more than 50 people enter, they actually turn a profit! I wonder what marketing wizard came up with this one - jeez... |

The truely sad thing is that they think their grading is gospel. What if a card they have in the contest is deemed 8 by their graders and yet everyone in the contest grades it a 7 or lower? Are they going to change the grade on the card? If the 30 cards in 15 minutes is indicative of have much attention a card actualy gets at PSA, this gives me even less confidence than I have now with their ability to grade to cards properly. |

when I first went into practice I had a spot with a lawyer referral service promoted by a local news legal affairs reporter that charged a fee to participate, unlike other services that charged a % of the fees I received. A few months into it, the service called me offering me a chance for $50 to have my promotional literature distributed at some big legal clinic they were holding. Two of the filthiest, sleaziest persons showed up at my business to collect the fee and the flyers. A month later I received a bankruptcy notice from the service. I have little doubt that my flyers were part of a desperate effort to hold off the dogs by raising some quick cash from the customer base. |

I know for a fact they are having problems with their grading system. Look at any ebay auction featuring a PSA graded card as the proof. Almost EVERY SINGLE CARD is graded too low. Just ask all the people selling on ebay, they'll tell you. |

Actually the stock price of Collectors Universe, the parent company of PSA, has soared in the past two years. I agree that their products could be better, but their balance sheet is quite healthy and they are making a ton of money. They ain't going out of business anytime soon. |

The reason PSA cards are selling low and will continue is Collector Universe/PSA attitude in not answering inquires, questions and comments with there customers. There has been so many complaints that the Better Business Bureau has rated both company unsatifactory. If you do not believe me look up both companies under the BBB report. That alone should send up a RED FLAG to any buyer of there cards. |

It should also send up a red flag to it's investors and anyone thinking of investing in them. |

I think that they are desperately looking for a new head grader! Maybe it should hit CBS as a new reality show. Orlando could then get to fire everyone off. |
