Just found my new OJ, and it's one of the Minneapolis players I never owned. Anyone know who the gun was? Or maybe he was just too tired to stand up for the picture.

He didnt really get shot,he was just passed out drunk.If fact if you had all of his OJ poses lined up side by side you would see him progressively get worse.Theyre listed in the 2004 catalog as:

pose 1-Left hand extended(reaching for alcohol)
pose 2-Tagging teammate Patton(Patton accidentily spiked him which lead to...)
pose 3-Right hand extended(hitting Patton,popular 2 player card)
pose 4- Bat on 45 degree angle coming downward from over his head
pose 5- Close up shot of him,as he was threatening the cameraman not to say anything
pose 6-Falling over backwards,one hand on ground
pose 6a-same as above but with 2nd hand touching ground
pose 7-passed out drunk pose(the one in the link)

and supposedly theres a pose 8 which hasnt been verified that pictures a remoseful Moxie sitting on the ground with his hands covering his face

lighting difficulties, he just fell asleep, and they had to yell at him to wake him up, and this picture was the result.

Julie could be right.

They took so long setting up his photo, he either fell asleep or pretended to. The photographer probably got mad thinking the guy is a smart a** and took the shot. The rest is history.

This would make a really funny N173 cabinet sized version.

Any other cards with players eyes closed? We could have a new theme for a future cover of the SCD guide?

Altho it is out of date,i have a catalog from 1993 with all the known poses/variations at the time.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know of anybody that has tried to maintain a more updated document than what is commercially available? I suppose it would be one heck of an undertaking.

By the way, do you know where someone can get the catalog from 1993? I suppose I could look on ebay - you never know.
