I have only had one card (as a seller)lost in transit (knock on wood) in 6 years but it was a beaut. An EXMT Goudey of Paul Waner. On its way east from here, the package was discovered in the Memphis post office in the very back behind a trash can. The card had been removed and the package discarded. Since then I try to cnvince all buyers to use insurance but many still don't. I usually go ahead and pay the extra 55 cents out of my own pocket to get a delivery confirmation. |

Wouldn't it have been better to use Registered Mail for a $3900.00 card? At least you would have the chance of theft greatly reduced because EVERY postal employee who handles your item has to sign for it, from the window clerk who accepts the item to the carrier who delivers it and everyone else in between. |
