The local newspaper today reported that a local couple fell victim to the "upgrading" email scam which was purported to come from eBay. The couple entered their user id and password, thinking it had come from eBay since the official eBay logo was on the email and it appeared legit, and had their credit cards maxed out. Remember eBay will NEVER ask you for your password under any circumstances. |
