Hello all,
My name is Jim and I started collecting memorabilia and autographs in the 80's at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore where I grew up and then later at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Fun fact- I worked on the engineering for Oriole Park and the Ravens stadium when I was employed by the firm that was a site engineer for both.

Back in the mid 90's I got screwed out of thousands in memorabilia by a clown who had my stuff on consignment. He filed for bankruptcy and owed back taxes and I couldn't afford an attorney at the time to pursue it. That is when I was so pissed I just stopped collecting.

I have a lot of great memories collecting with my dad who passed away 2.5 years ago and still have a lot of random unique items as well as common items that I plan to sell.

Thank you for allowing me to post on this forum as I figure it out

Welcome Jim...

So sorry that happened to you. It's definitely not a "hobby" for the faint of heart.... lots of corruption still exists, unfortunately. But I'm confident you'll find this to be a friendlier place where you can share positive experiences with other collectors.

Yep, me too.

Welcome Jim to f'n Net54.

Fun fact : my mom told me that Mrs. Ramos told her that WTF means "Well That's Fantastic!", so that means f'n means fantasticing, I think.

What are you collecting these days? Have any Baseball Magazine posters?

Doug
