Default For Sale: 1905 W601 Sporting Life Team Composites New York National w/ Matthewson

Beautifully framed with museum glass is a very early Matty piece from 1905, these don’t show up every day. A couple of creases but inconsequential for this rarity….

$550 shipped

"These don't show up every day"--understatement of the year! In case anyone is thinking about waiting for another one of these, or a better one, good luck. What a beauty!

Thanks Hank, one sold at Mile High in 2012 for more than what I’m asking here 🤷🏻*♂️ I just love how they misspelled Matty’s name with 2 T’s

Seen that misspelling more than once, like "Johnston" for WaJo. Might do better out of the frame, assuming the edges are as nice as the rest, but that's pure speculation on my part. Otherwise, early Matty and McGraw, world champs, impossible issue; no way that price is out of line.

This image was actually made to commemorate the 1904 team, the National League champions for 1905, as they stated at the time. Jack Warner was not a member of the team that won the World Series in 1905. The composite for the 1905 team includes Sammy Strang.

Is this mounted (glued etc) or could be removed and back and edges good? Thanks.
