Default Internet Outage

Boy have we become married to the internet! Tonight our internet went out and I had 1.5 hours of no TV, web sites, etc. It was a blessing on my end, I dusted off the book Glory of Their Times and began reading stories from Fred Snodgrass, Chief Meyers and Davy Jones. What magical baseball stories from the early days of baseball. Thank you Lawrence Ritter and I will be finishing the book before I turn on the boob tube again. Cool part... my bookmark was a boarding pass from American Airlines from April 20th 1998.

Nice. And I have always believed boarding passes make the best bookmarks, and yours gets the bonus privilege of being in such a great baseball book.

I've always believed we would a better society if there was no internet every Sunday and we were forced to be normal human beings and interact together, Furthermore I would support everyone staying home one month out of the year to let our environment recover.

Yes, like I grew up in the 40’s and 50’s when all stores closed on Sunday. Buy your bread, milk & cigarrets on Saturday. Beer too.

One of my favorite audible books. I enjoy being able to listen to them tell their stories in their own voices. The true excitement they had just to be able to play the game.

Ah yes ... except my memories (as a kid) are only from the late 60's/early 70's. When one of the local major grocery stores was open on Sunday it caused quite the stir.
