Default Could this be Billy Martin?

I bought this snapshot basketball photo at the Philly show, I saw the kid in the middle and thought, man that looks so much like what I would think a young high school age Billy Martin would look like. Obviously I'm NOT saying its him. I am not Jolly Rodgers Imagination island. But it seemed like maybe the 0.000001% chance is there as I have read Billy played basketball. Maybe somebody has a Highschool yearbook? Thought it would be a fun share. By the way zooming into my original scan he is Jersey #8 or #9 for whatever that's worth.

There is definitely a clown in Michigan who will wholeheartedly agree with your assessment...then again, you could have posted a photo of Colonel Sanders and elicited a simliarly positive reply.

But it sure does look like him, I'll give you that. Definitely not a stretch of the imagination, but I haven't delved any more into it other than this passing glance.

If people comment no way in hell or you're crazy etc, I'm not going to argue. I mean it's some pretty far out odds. I just couldn't get it off my mind since I bought it.

It is, but insofar as these types of threads are concerned, this is a rare time where I could get on board. Again, I haven't done any research to solidify my stance, but that does look like him to me as well.

Default Odds?

What are the odds that he was on the same team as Leonardo DiCaprio?

That's his second cousin. From the pig-nosed DiCaprio side of the family. They like to keep it hush-hush.

Before I looked I liked the fact that his ears stuck out, as Martin's definitely do. However the kids ears have a convex outer edge, Martin's are concave. That's pretty conclusive I think, but I'm not an expert.

My Gosh, Billy had a schnoz on him, didn't he? I wonder if he had work on it somewhere along the line.

I would say no, he has all 5 fingers on the ball pointing to the photographer, instead of just his middle finger.

Agree, doesn't look close here. I did read Billy played basketball in Colorado for a military team before getting into the bigs as well. The yearbook photo is him very young, looks like a freshman. So I'm still not saying a definite no yet.

Matt Damon is out...I am now convinced Buster Poindexter time traveled to photo bomb this basketball team picture session.

He did.
He got punched over the years quite a few times!
