Finally got one of these cards

This Larry Corcoran guy threw three no-hitters, finished with a 177-89 record over eight seasons, and he led the league in strikeouts (1880), wins (1881) and ERA (1882).

I've also been searching for as Larry Corcoran for a very long time. I finally picked this one up in the recent Hunt Auction and it arrived today. Not sure why the scan is so blurry. This is also my first Old Judge with the words "old judge" in a box instead of an arch.

Wasn't there a Net54 member who was hoarding Corcorans?

It's no signed Ruth card, but it does have a young Greenberg.

Brian, that’s pretty unique Tiger item. What is the size of it? Is it a postcard?

Thanks, Jim. I don't have it in hand yet, but it is 4x6. Had not seen that one before.

Default N172 Old Judge

Continuing the N172 theme, it's been a good month for Dalrymple OJ's. After nearly a year of nothing, 2 have surfaced and I, of course, scooped them up.

OJ's are hot right now! Nice pick ups guys!

Technically Ty arrived about a week ago, but I hadn't got around to posting him in June due to my work schedule.

According to the seller it's a new to the hobby card from a one owner collection. That sealed the deal for me!

Neat...it probably feels natural to have a couple more Dalrymples under your roof.

It's a shame you weren't looking Silver Flint N172s because it seems almost every auction with more than a few N172s there's a bunch of Silver Flint cards up for auction.

I'm a Cubs collector, so part of it is probably a focus bias and part is probably coincidence, but I've been seeing so Silver Flints up for sale/auction the past couple years I feel like it's the junk wax of OJs.

Nice #181 Ruth Michael. Presents far nicer than a 2 and it's centered nicely.

My pick up of the year candidate arrived yesterday compliments of REA. Ty is sensational!

That's a beautiful CJ Cobb. There's 1.5s and then there's 1.5s like this one. Really wonderful card and borders. I love it.

Many thanks Jeff & Leon and I agree. When a card displays like this the numerical # given by third party grading is pretty irrelevant.

I'm beyond happy with the purchase!

Today is a very good mail day after a long drought in finding anything new for my Lou Criger collection. The notebook cover came from Sterling Sports Auctions and the Photograph from Kris Sweckard who is now my favorite person. Someone please sell me a Rose PC and J=K

Lot's of great cards posted this month.
While technically a June purchase this did arrive in July. The photo isn't as clear as most OJ's I collect but overall I thought it was a nice card for the given grade.
