Babe Ruth Signed Ball ?
Hello: I have this Babe Ruth signed baseball from 1932. The Yankees were in Chicago to play the Cubs in the 1932 World Series. My Grandfather (who was 32 at the time and was a banker) knew someone in the Cubs office which is how he got the ball. I assume the fellow he knew got it from the Yankees somehow. Anyway, it has been in our living room since then. I inherited it and am now trying to find out its worth (if any)
It is a genuine 1932 American League ball. The Ruth signature, however, looks a bit iffy. It's pretty good except I have never seen one where the R swoops all the way under the uth or where the u starts from way down there. It's also pretty late for quotes. I'm going to guess it was signed by someone in the Yankees office (unless some of you believe he actually signed like this at some point)
Assuming a genuine 1932 ball with an "office" signature, what do you think this could make at an auction or ebay?
Thank You
