Pirates Game Worn Pants 1949
It's a long shot, but I came across this auction listing while doing some research for my aunt. Her husband, Pete Castiglione, played for the Pirates from '47-'53. The auction from December 2006 is for a 1968 Pirates jersey (#5) and for unknown reasons was paired with pants from 1949 which appear to have been worn by my uncle.

Saw your post, and while I do not have information concerning the pants, I thought you'd be interested that Pete signed a 1951 Bowman card for me through the mail several years ago, and he enclosed a short note on an index card. I'd be happy to scan them for you if you are interested in the pics. He seemed to be a gracious man. |
