Default 1951 Wheaties Sport Greats Cards Question

Hi guys, was curious on if any of you would know my best course of action with a group of wheaties cards I picked up at a garage sale!

From what I can tell they are cards that could be cut out. I got over a 100 of them here, with some being really nice. I intend to grade them with SGC. My question is:

- Do I need to hand cut some of these to smooth them out to get higher grades? or do I leave them as is.

I have tried emailing SGC to no reply, I am going to continue to ask them because if it comes down to it I will laser cut them lol!

Any insight is appreciated thank you!

Cards are fun, not rare.... all the ones you show will get an "Authentic" grade due to lack of the blue borders all around..... laser, taser, phaser if you choose. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Congrats on the find.

It makes you wonder about the quality of a pair of scissors back in the 1950s

I just got this back (and it is for sale ), and it doesn't have any blue border.
So, I would not be confident they would all grade an A

SGC gave you a gift on the 4.

Cards should either be trimmed to look like this, or squared off at the corners with a small blue border around the white card to get a high number grade.

OP, if you don't have any with a full blue border, I wouldn't recommend spending money to have the cards graded.

Not very nice for someone from Niceville, FL, to denigrate someone's card they are trying to sell. Maybe you aren't the all-knowing expert on these cards, either. I just sold it to a guy who collects Wheaties cards for $265.
