1936 Batter Up Ray Benge Boston Bees #99 - Ends Sunday 7/16 @ 8pm CST
This week we have four separate lots of vintage cards up for auction ranging from 1920 to 1936. In this auction you are bidding on a 1936 Batter Up card of Ray Benge (high number 99) of the Boston Bees/Braves. This card helps identify that the high numbers (#81 to 192) are a 1936 issue, both due to Ray's trade to Boston from the Dodgers on December 12th, 1935, but also the team nickname of Bees, which was established for the 1936 season (and ran through 1941). Informative info, available free of charge, at your local $1 starting bid Net54 auction emporium.
This card is in lower but intact condition, with the diecut part partially separated (actually extends beyond center line downward as a 3/4" tear) and at one point taped into submission, but since removed besides the tell-tale tape residue stain. That previously mentioned tear continues further, but as a crease, to the bottom of the card. A tear at top above his head a well as couple of other creases rounds out this condition report.
Minimum opening bid is $1 for this card, and the bidding increment should be in whole dollars. The shipping if you win one of my auctions this week will be $4.50, for two it will also be $4.50 total. Win 3 or 4 auctions and the shipping is FREE.
All cards will be shipped in a padded envelope. Personal check or Paypal accepted.
Good Luck!
Brian
