I wonder if PSA has given up on their SMR. It seems like their current prices are old, currently out of date and don't change for months. Perhaps they have given up and know they can't compete with VCP and other pricing tools.

The prices in SMR have been consistently inaccurate since the magazine was first printed.

My take is that it's just a really lagging indicator.
They seem to pretty consistently base their conclusions on data that is old, and discount more recent data. Part of it could be trying to filter out temporary price movements. Part of it could just be lazy. But in any event, my experience is that it's typically only accurate if the market has been pretty stable for a while. Given the current environment, it tends to be pretty inaccurate.
