OK, for the past year I have been collecting a lot of these little tea cards. Once I got started it was almost like an addiction for me.
I never realized how involved I would become when I started. Before I really got involved I did have a few cards for these sets laying around. maybe 50 or so.But being house bound because of covit I needed something to pursue. In my case it happened to be these little fellows. And with a lot of guidance from a fellow collector,I did not realize what I had gotten into.Yes in the beginning I knew there was 17 different series between July 1959 and July 1974.But I did not know that there were all those variation sets.Like Series 1 has 3 different type sets, Series two the same. 3 different type sets. Series 6 has two and series 10 has 2 and series 15 does as well. And in some collectors minds series 15 actually may have 3 because Lipton did a re-release of series 15 in 1990. I do not consider that part of the original run.Although I have a lot of those sets as well. And that is not even including the different variations found in the albums. Plus all those error cards that can be found throughout the different series. So these cards were found in the boxes of tea. Usually 2 cards in each cellophane wrapper. Occasionally you got 3 and so with that there were also packs that only got 1 card.As a collector you could also send in to the company and for $.25 you could get an album to stick your cards in. And as I am sure most of you collectors can image there were not a lot of people that paid attention to variations and errors. So when they collected the 48 cards they either glued, taped the cards into their albums. So what I am offering for sale is a complete run of Red Rose Canadian edition only.So Series 1 to Series 17. these begin in July of 1959 and ended in July 1974. I have no idea what the backs of these cards may be. The variations were all determined by the backs. So say series one that I am offering may be made up of a combination of all three variations. Same with series 2. And the series 6,series 10, and series 15 could also be made up with different variation. Now I do have a complete run of all the variations and regular sets from all the series that had variation. I like to call them loose sets. They are not stuck into albums. But I have new un-used albums for all of those sets. But for this sale it will only be for the series listed below that are stuck in albums. The scans provided will be what the albums/with cards that you will receive. I also wanted to add that if you happen to be looking for singles or variations to complete your sets then PLMK. I still have over 5,000 regular singles and likely 500 or so different variations. So I may be able to help you out. This run of complete sets in albums will only be sold as a lot. I am not breaking it up. I do have a few complete run and a few extras. So from those extras I may have a few sets that I could sell by themselves. Sorry about this long read. But I just wanted to explain what I have for anyone that may not know about these little fellows. I am certainly not an expert in these. But I know there are a few on here that are and if any question come along that I cannot answer then I may ask for help to answer your questions.Thanks.
