The amount of junk signs this seller pushes is truly amazing! Mostly gas and oil but the ocassional sports piece as well.
They've been discussed on petroliana chat boards before. Alot of what I see from them is straight up fantasy pieces as an original didnt exist but it goes for good money! I dont get it, either a bunch of uneducated buyers or buyers who simply dont care

I never would have believed so much crap being sold on eBay these days, compared to 10 or 12 years ago. I have a bunch of old stuff, and you could find it on eBay pretty reasonably a few years ago. Antique tube radios, books, comic books, you name it. Then, like the flea market years before, it turned into all kinds of junk, fake stuff, trinkets and gee-gaws no one in their right mind would give a hoot about. Occasionally, some stuff pops up, but it either sets off a feeding frenzy, or...it's fake. Jeez.

Agreed! Every now and then they'll have an original piece up for sale, but for the most part they sell reproductions.

I tend to lean in the direction that they are aware of what they're doing, but just don't care.
