Picked up a great 53t campy recently.

My 52 jackie was graded in less than a week

Seems odd

I was just thinking about this card the other day too and was curious if it was ever deemed to be a legit copy?

Ok Larry, or anyone who "privately" bought this. (Thats his new excuse)

$500 for a scan of the card Larry claims he had for sale.

Next step is involving Leon.

I think you offered a card for sale you never had in your possesion.

I realize things might be slow over at the sunshine senior center, but I dont think this was a fair way to garner attention.

Shenanigans? I know not what you mean? Simply looking for a scan of this elusive card!

Are you Referring to Larry offering a card he never had? Trying to goad me, by googling my name and seeing the one card I'm hunting for?

Didnt you youself say "it isnt a problem offering cards not in ones possession, until it is" what prevents anyone from doing this?

Maybe an Admission he never had the card?

I used the wrong word. I should have said I just wanted it to stop. That said, this thread was brought to my attention by another member. I told him that considering the situation, and the OP, I didn't have a lot of heartburn for it. So I took your side behind your back.
BTW, did I miss something because I don't see where Larry (hi Larry) said he was going to send it in to be graded?

I can understand the sentiment, I just think it was wrong to goad myself, and other members. IRC larry was busy demonizing CRazy uncle auctions at the time, albeit winning plenty of the silver lots. Most of which he listed and sold he on the boards. We had a little TIFF, and minutes later he posts this thread. I mean COME ON MAN!

You never had it, you made it up. You've posted a scan of every single items you have had for sale, sans this one.

Hope you made out well steering people away from Crazy Uncle so you could win those silver lots, just to sell them to the same board members

Sad lonely times at the sunshine senior housing facility

I'm done, the proof is in the pudding .

You are a scammer as far as I'm concerned.

I really don't understand the confusion here: In his first post, Larry stated:

Very rare autograph
Email for scans

That indicates he scanned the card and had / has scans on hand. Where are those scans now?

Then in his second post he states:

Due to the unexpected large # of inquiries
I'll have to holder the card..which will take who knows how long...grade the card and signature
Card probably a 4 or 5 signature 5 or 6
Thanks for the inquiries

This tell me he is going to send the card in for grading. Am I the only one, besides Ted, who sees this?

Then Larry says:

I dont see where I said id send it in either

How about rechecking your own postings? It is there!

I don't believe this card ever existed either, nor do I believe that this very card was sold to a buyer who wishes to remain unknown. All of Larry's comments have been very convenient in not providing proof of this cards existence. It also contradicts the consistency all of Larry's other posts.

As long as I have been a member of this forum. Ted Sherman = the 1952 Topps set. Not just as a collector, but as a researcher and historian also. He has made it his quest to document every card and variation (including signed copies) and only another historian can understand this. Ted is VERY serious about this and has always graciously shared his findings with us. I wish him luck. That is my 2 cents on this subject.

I don't know the whole story but I disagree with your assumption. Just because Larry said what it should grade doesn't mean he is sending it in.
Now that said, I too would like to see a back scan? And if I had someone willing to pay me good money just to see a scan, I would send them multiples.

Nah... To me he said he would have to not that he was.
And I am not saying this whole thread wasn't started to rile you up. If I were a betting person I would say it was, but I don't bet. (well, maybe the boats in LA every now and then)

and in honor of the 1950s section here is my favorite, personally owned, 1950s card. The OBC guys knew I loved the card so they sent me one. That was pretty cool.

[QUOTE=sflayank;2131008]STALKER...you're a sick person
/QUOTE]

No need to project. You simply googled my name and my psa article came up. I mentioned I was looking for a "pre-accident" campanella. It's fine, you "won" I guess. But I'd take a long look in your full mirror and ask yourself who the stalker is.

$500 offer for a scan stands Larry, or whoever received a scan from the "many Inquiries" of the "phantom card" he never had. None have yet been graded at psa.
