What Cleveland Indians cards stand out for you? I got this 1974 Jack Brohammer as a kid and still own it. Great sideburns!

1973 Topps Oscar Gamble.
Low-level Topps employee: "Gamble got traded to Cleveland. We need a new photo." Boss: "Just airbrush the one we've got." LLTE: "But he's in a full Phillies uniform, it's obviously Riverfront Stadium, and there are three Reds players in the shot." Boss: "Just take the 'P' off of his chest. No one will notice." LLTE: "Yes sir." Followed closely by Gamble's 1975 Topps, which shows The Afro in nearly as much glory as the 76 Traded. Last edited by ASF123; 12-16-2020 at 03:45 PM. |

Check out the latest Beckett Vintage Collector magazine, there's a cool article about air brushing classic cards.
Here's another neat Indians card. ![]() Last edited by Chuck9788; 12-16-2020 at 09:33 PM. |

I was torn between these two, so I chose both.

I have to go with the two players/cards that sparked my life-long collecting interest in Cleveland Indians baseball cards and memorabilia. This was my team and those were my heroes as a kid.

One of my favorites from the second year of my collecting obsession - at nine years old, I had heard of WWII, but knew almost nothing of the players who participated in it. Later became a fan of guys who sacrificed as much as Lou.

Working on a Oscar Gamble master set from his playing days. This is one of my favorites.
