Star Bills

I heard a story about how when bills are misprinted or damaged and need to be reprinted, the old bill is destroyed and the new bill gets star put on it by the serial number. I've never actually gotten one till now:

That's nice! I have not seen a "Star" note in circulation for a while now. Always keep an eye out for them. Great find!

Very nice I only have a couple of 1 dollar star bills and this from 1928, when I cashed my check back in the early 1980's
