So many options. The style I like is biography of the life and what made him the person he was. Not SABR stuff, but not coffee table style either. Thicker.
I just read "Big Fella", a new book about Babe Ruth. Really good and well researched from birth to death - what made him tick. By the same author is "The Last Boy" about Mantle, which I just finished and was also good. She wrote one about Koufax. I haven't read it yet. Pretty thick comprehensive books about their lives supplemented with a whole lot of research and interviews. Hardback. All NYT best sellers. Suggestions about recent books biographies about Williams and DiMaggio this style I could read? Thanks! Casey. Last edited by Case12; 03-15-2019 at 08:22 AM. |
