Not even close. Those (I think the seller has a few different ones) have been humorously running on ebay for a while now.

I agree, not a chance. I have seen the two or three this person has posted and squinting with the sun in my eyes I see no resemblance between these Swiss boys and Thorpe. It is highly unlikely a Swiss photographer (Odermatt of Brunnen) would travel to Stockholm for the Olympic games and take studio photos. Four of the five look like teenagers. They also appear to be wearing gymnastic outfits. I would guess they were members of a turnverein and those are competition badges on their jerseys.
