I was going through some of my grandfather's things that were passed down to me and this lapel pin made want to learn the story behind it. On the back, there is maker's mark of a cursive "J" inside of a diamond. Doing some of the research I have, I am assuming this is a Jostens maker's mark, but I could be wrong. I am not sure if it is gold or not as there is no other marks, however it isn't magnetic. Does anyone know when and why these would've been made? I cannot find anything like it at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this isn't necessarily sports related, but it does have it's ties. Thanks in advance! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
