With Bobby Doerrs unfortunate passing, Chuck Stevens (born July 10, 1918), aged 99, is now recognized as the oldest living major league ballplayer, as well as the oldest living former member of the Baltimore Orioles organization. Srevens played for the St. Louis Browns (1941, 1946, 1948).

What is the earliest major card set that still has a living player in it? I'm guessing it's 1948 Bowman. I don't think there is anyone alive from any of the three Playball sets.

48 Bowman is correct
I believe based on a quick visual perusal of the checklist that Red Schoendienst is the only living player from that set Rich

Sandy Koufax retired over a half century ago and he's still only number 13 on that list. Pretty wild.
