Tony Mullane HOF..forget pettite and others
why isnt this guy in the HOF
283 wins this is who baseball references compares him to (almost all in the HOF) Burleigh Grimes (908.1) * Mickey Welch (901.9) * Red Ruffing (897.4) * Red Faber (884.2) * Gus Weyhing (878.0) Vic Willis (866.7) * Tommy John (864.0) Fergie Jenkins (858.8) * Jim McCormick (852.8) Early Wynn (852.5) * A switch pitcher no less. He through 567 innings in one season. Try and take him out of a ball game. You only needed 2 of these guys to make up your whole rotation Plus he was entertaining 343 wild pitches.. Plus he played 1b/2nd/3b/SS and OF as well. He won 30 or more games 5 times.. |

I'd rank Bobby Matthews higher than Tony Mullane on the list, and Matthews also comes up (arguably) short. Take a look at his record.
