Always strikes me as odd when I see he signed so many things "Babe" Ruth. As if he wanted to remind people Babe wasn't his real name. Sort of an odd affectation, as so many guys in those days had nicknames. Was "Babe" limited to a certain period? Any rhyme or reason to the ""? Are there any Ruth items out there with his real name signed?
