He had some legendary finds, and while he may have not been some people's favorite, he brought a lot of attention to the hobby. RIP.

As a kid I worked up the courage to call him up. We only spoke briefly. To some he was a polarizing figure, but in many ways to me, he was one of the iconic images of my youth. Sad news, may he be at peace.

I believe I was only able to afford a 52 topps wrapper at the cranston show in 1993 from him. At 71, he was Not an old guy. Now I can no longet say he's going to try and buy my collection from my wife when I pass.
