The card that got away twice...is it gone for good? & Share your cardhunting stories!

I have been hunting down this particular T206 card since early January. I check eBay and N54 often for any Kling, so I was shocked when this card slipped past my defenses...twice. Initially, it was sold as a lot in early January, but then changed hands again...boo. Gee whiz! Do you have any stories you'd like to share about hunting down a particular card? How long were you searching for?
