I never noticed what a strange card this is. Norm Cash was traded to Cleveland from the White Sox in the winter, then traded to Detroit before the season started. The card shows one photo of him in a Cleveland hat, a team he never played a single game for, while the other photo has him in a White Sox uniform with an airbrushed Detroit hat. That makes 3 teams on one card!
There can't be another card like it, can there? ![]() |

Great catch! That is crazy to have 3 teams represented on one card. I would have never picked up on it.

1970 Topps Ray Oyler
![]() never played a game for the A's, not a minor leaguer who never made it either. He played in the majors in 1965-70. went from Detroit to Seattle to Oakland to California very fast at the end though. Too fast for Topps.

Lou Pinella is on two cards like this - 1964 (senators) and 1969 (pilots). The 69 is hatless (and the picture is from previous year) though so might not count.

Not as bad as Cash, but Robin Roberts' 62 card says that he's on the Yankees, has him in suspiciously light-brown, Phillies, pinstripes, and he never played a game for the Yankees. The Yankes purchased his contract from the Phillies in Oct. of 61, released him in May (before he appeared in a game for them), and he played the 62 season for the Orioles.

A personal favorite. Of course, Curt Flood didn't play for the Phillies.

There is certainly a catch to these, but technically Kubiak, Hershberger, and Bolin never actually played for the Pilots, and Bristol never managed them.

As a lifetime Cardinals fan I loved Flood and hated it when they traded him. He took a stand that he was not property to be traded. He lost but set a lot in motion for the players at about the time Marvin Miller arrived on the scene with a big impact on MLB...and Topps. His wife Judy Pace was an actress. I think she is still alive. Was very sad when he passed from a terrible cancer

I remember that Bump Wills very well. I think I paid $5 extra from Renato Galasso to get the '79 set with Wills on the Rangers. At the time, I think that was considered the rarer card.
But I still haven't seen any card with a player shown with uniform parts from 3 separate teams. Seems like with all the sets with multiple photos on the card, there'd be another one somewhere. Then again, who cares really?! ![]() Had to fix the Cash though. It was bugging me. Photoshop is phun. ![]() |
