Received these cards many years ago and purchased these sleeves as a way to protect them (thankfully) but now I am curious if these were the route to go and if something better/safer exists currently?
I have over a 100 so I'll need a few, but I want them protected the best I can if these aren't adequate? Thanks. Edit: Probably should have put this in the post WW-2 section. Sorry. Last edited by irv; 04-05-2017 at 01:57 PM. |

Nothing wrong with vintage top loaders, personally I use the Ultra Pro equivalent of Card Saver I's.
I do recommend individual protection, unless it is low grade and you are not concerned with condition and enjoy viewing your cards as a whole, then pages are a good choice.

Nothing wrong with sleeves and top loaders at all.
I have shaky hands left from a couple years of chemo that sometimes act up and have caused me to dig a few corners with top loaders so I have switched to ultra pro or pro mold one screws. I think they display nicely (uv protection from the sun) if I want to look at them and also don't give me the worry of a card slipping out of an untaped top loader that I get. Ultra pros 35pt one-touch holders are the nicest and what I normally use as they have the best looking case for traditional sized cards and I like the magnets for ease of use. http://www.ultrapro.com/product_info...oducts_id=1425 However, for odd size issues so they don't bounce around or get crammed in, pro mold makes more specialty sizes. They are my go to for T206, all bowman, and 50s Topps. They look like this https://www.pro-mold.com/pc52.html These are much like sending your cards to be slabbed for protection, but cost less than 2 dollars when you buy them in good size multiples on ebay. The card nicely sits in there and I have never run into any condition issues from them. Just my personal preference.
