Any thoughts on this monster of a bat? 45 inches long and weighs about 47 oz. I am interested in some information on this bat. Thank you!

My guess is that it is a farm implement due to to taper at the non-knob end.

Not a bat but as others have said, a farm tool. Sometimes you see these with the end taper cut off and sold for big bucks but not a bat

That's a good point Jim....I think If I had seen this with the tapered end cut off to 35", I'd think this could be a 19th century bat.
