I collect Mike Piazza cards, and I recently picked up an oddball item on eBay.
It's a 2000 Kodak "Players Collection" motion card that was exclusive to the Champs chain of sporting goods stores. I don't know how scarce this is, but I've been collecting Piazza cards for a couple of years now and I've never seen this card before. It is similar to the Sportflics cards of the 1980's. The card measures roughly 3 & 3/4 inches by 5 inches and is still it it's original packaging. As you can see from the attached scan; the packaging is in pretty rough shape. However, the card itself appears to be in pristine condition and would probably grade at a PSA 10. So, my question is this: Do I leave it alone in it's original (but shabby) package, or do I have it professionally graded? Is it worth more in the packaging or as a PSA 10? Any feedback would help. Thanks! - Charles |
