I wanted to put a feeler out to the board and see what the response would be.
With the recent post about the Philadelphia Caramel book (I'm actually working on a follow-up book), I've decided to put together a 1914 Cracker Jack book. For those who own an iPhone, I'm using the Steller app. I just started working on the book yesterday and I'm about 25% the way through. I like the way it looks so far, and I have some pretty cool ideas I want to incorporate into it before I'm done. If I could get it exactly the way I want it, it'll pretty much blow the socks off anything that's currently out there! I've never used this app before, but it's simple enough. I'm planning on making the e-book the maximum number pages allowed, 20. I don't know if this software will work on PC's or other devices. I'll be posting something soon and let everyone know when it's available. Oh, by the way, it's going to be free......... ErikV |

Since constructive criticism has been requested, I would point out that you may have a hard time fitting anything more than was covered in last year's PSA book in 20 pages of an online book.

John,
In all due respect, I wasn't looking to add anything new to the Cracker Jack book that was published last year. I'll let it be known now that I don't have a copy of that book, and so no material from it was used. This e-book is simply a small project I put together to display my passion for my collecting. I would ask that I be given a chance for everyone to see it first. I'd be happy to have any form of criticism/input given after its made public and seen by all. By the way, I'm about 90% finished. I'm hoping to wrap it up tonight, and if I'm lucky, have a link posted in just a little bit. ErikV |

A number of the pages have longer text. Don't know if this will help, but you can scroll the text.

Very cool! I didn't see your other "book" so I didn't know what to compare it to; loved the splicing of the old interviews. I just recently bought a 1906 Edison Phonograph for my wife's birthday and have some songs and some vaudeville acts to play on it. Will have to keep a look out for sports interviews!

Depending on the board's thoughts on this Cracker Jack e-book, I'd consider
doing another baseball card e-book. Any ideas on what other set(s) everyone would like to see? |
