Edgar Willett was born in Norfolk, VA on March 7, 1884. His best season was 1909, he won 21 games (with a 2.34 ERA). Along with George Mullin and Ed Summers,
Willett played an important role in Detroit winning the AL Championship in 1909. I will start this show with his following T-cards.......... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Some times mistaken for Ed Willett, this OBAK card depicts Roy Willett. Who was also a pitcher....but, no relation to Ed Willett. ![]() ![]() Ed Willett is pictured on a lot of cards and related items....so, show us some of yours ? TED Z |

Jeff, you're killing me. That's one awesome looking postcard. I've been trying to find a nice postcard of Willett for some time. Thanks for showing that.

Bringing back an old thread after I did a Google search tonight. Oddly enough I found this today on Ed's birthday at an estate sale in a small town next to where he passed away. It was hung in an elderly couples living room for many of years.
Photo is about 16x20. Poor lighting tonight. 1905 Wichita Jobbers. Ed is the first one on the left, bottom row. Hank Gehring to the right of the coach. ![]() ![]() |
