Did anyone see this auction? This is a New York not Washington portrait of Elberfeld in PSA 5 for $700. Also why are there 2 bids for 700 when you look at the bid history?

On the 2 $700 bids the high bidder bid $700---the underbidder also bid $700 and ebay takes the first bid---anyone that bids now would knock off the $700 bid. Don

Good reason to not bid at an even amount, I have a fair number of auction wins by bidding at just a small increment over an even amount... ie.$702.07, etc.

The "secret" wasn't the point...the point is that I (continue to) win a fair number of auctions because I barely outbid the very small percent of bidders who don't execute this simple "secret" bid strategy.

No Idea, I was going to bid on this card but when I was checking the
end time it was already at $500 which was more than three times what I was going to bid. A PSA 4.5 that was just as nice as this one sold for $113 a few weeks ago. There are 59 in the PSA pop reports at or higher than a 5. I wouldn't be surprised to see this card re-listed. Last edited by Pat R; 10-12-2014 at 09:38 AM. |
