.......and could go back in time to attend one baseball game, which game would you choose?
There are so many to pick from but I would have to choose October 4, 1955; game 7 of the 1955 World Series to watch the Brooklyn Dodgers finally win a Championship. I wasn't born until 7 years later but I would love to have seen that game in person. I would have to get there on October 1st to allow a few days to locate/contact my father(god rest his soul) and get tickets so that we could both attend the game. Duane Clark |

Ruth's called shot game. Imagine seeing the Cubs in a World Series game and Babe Ruth. Day baseball to boot.

I'd like to see Tigers vs. Yankees at old Yankee Stadium. Cobb vs. Ruth like 1920/21 time.
It would also have been cool to watch Ruth pitch to Cobb or watch Walter Johnson vs. Ruth and Yankees....

I would like to take Nolan Ryan with me and pit him against Walter Johnson. I would also like to have a jugs gun to see how fast the train threw.

Don't forget to bring a sack of live balls with you. You'll have to test both players using each. I wonder what Johnson would do with a perfectly round and slick hide, and what Ryan would do with a ball that's been muddied and clobbered out of shape for several innings.

For me it would either be game 6 of the 1975 World Series (Fisk home run) or Game 6 of the 1986 World Series (The Buckner error). Sine I was born in 1987 I didn't even see these games on tv

April 29th 1986 to see Roger Clemens 20 strike out game in person. I was 17 at the time and it was a year or 2 before I got into watching baseball.
The other would be Aug, 8 1999 to see Wade Boggs get his 3000th hit in person. This would be #1 for me except I made the 2000 mile trip to attend Wade Boggs day in Tampa to celebrate the occasion. |

April 15, 1947 when Jackie Robinson played his first game with the Dodgers. It would have been interesting to be seated near home plate to hear what he had to deal with when batting as far as all the comments etc...
