Dan--They broke the mold after they made your dad. A wonderful member of the hobby fraternity, a true gentleman. I know he had been suffering for a while and I am sure he is now in a better place, swapping hobby stories with Burdick, Tigre and Mitchell. God bless his soul. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

To be clear, it is Dan Sr. who has passed away. Dan Jr. is our member who has posted here before. Dan Sr. never posted on the board but I got to see him at a few shows and we had great conversations. Dan Sr. (Pops) was one of the old guard.......RIP Pops

Dan,

Very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Baltimore, and was so amazed he had time to spend with a novice like me. Please accept my sincere condolences and be assured I will join others in asking that he be held safe in God' hands.

Respectfully,

Cards aren't really important at a time like this but they were a big part of Dan and his dad's relationship for 52 years....Dan posted a great message on Facebook about his dad's passing. He was 92. Prayers to Dan and his family during this difficult time.....

I'm so glad I got to know Dan Sr. a bit over the years. What a warm, friendly man. Danny was so lucky to have him for a father. He leaves behind a great legacy in the hobby but more importantly in his family. I am very saddened to know that I won't see him again.
