Boxing James Braddock Signed Hotel Registration for Ali vs Liston Fight $350.00
JAMES J. BRADDOCK SIGNED HOTEL REGISTRATION CARD Historic and unique ! Former Heavyweight champion Braddock was staying at the Poland Springs Hotel in Maine and was in town for the 2nd Muhammad Ali vs Sonny Liston fight which was held in Lewiston Maine on May 25th 1965 a short drive from his hotel. Measures 5x8 Braddock has signed and also written his New Jersey Address. Card is dated May 15th ten days before the fight. Nicknamed "The Cinderella Man" Braddock won the World Heavyweight title in an upset victory over champion Max Baer in 1935. He lost the title to Joe Louis in 1937 but not before having knocked Louis down. Great association piece as many former champions and celebrities attended the bout which would end with the infamous "phantom punch" Braddock was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame and died in 1974. $350.00
