I had to show the above 2 together. The Dogs Head I had showed was too big and I didn't have time to resize it. Here's an N173 I always thought had a neat backdrop.

Cabinet signed by player, Charles "Tony" Tonneman, who played under Frank Selee in Western League and was drafted/played for Boston for a moment and then traded to New York before a long successful minor league career.

Schlei was definitely playing out the string at this point. He played two seasons in Memphis at ages 36 and 37. He batted .234 against Single A pitching. It had to be a blow to the ego after being in the "Bigs".

Dolly Stark, at least managed to hit .268 in his one year at Memphis He was only 29 but would never sniff the Majors again. He played another 8 years though, finishing up for the Class C Okmulgee OK Drillers at 37.

Awesome!

Try this one on from the reverse side of cab... Dolly Stark hits Home Run :

"In the 8th frame, Stark cinched the game for the locals by hitting one of Heinie Berger's saliva shoot's into the "smokehouse" in left field."

Jeremy

Ted is certainly my favorite Southern Leaguer in the T206 set. How can you not like a guy who pitched a No-Hitter in his first Major League start.
Furthermore, Ted pitched a total of 4 No-Hitters in his career. Besides, I identify with him....only 5:9 tall and his name is Theodore

.
