I have a personalized Ted Williams signed bat. I was wondering what would work best in removing the personalization. I once used nail polish remover on a bat and it worked fine but that was a recent autograph. The Ted Williams bat was signed at least 15+ years ago. Does that make a difference? Thank you very much.

Marker can be a real pain- hopefully the shellac kept it from going into the grain. I know people that have used toothpaste with success, I personally never tried it. If its heavily shellacked, maybe some 0000 steel wool and lemon oil.
Good luck and try a tiny tiny spot first Matt
