Default 1924 Zeenut Search

This is my first post, so if I'm doing this wrong, apologies.

I'm looking for a scan of Claude Rowher's 1924 Zeenut card (#69) to use on my website. I've looked everywhere and have had no luck. Several sites list a Rowher card, but in both instances the card/scan is not Rowher, but another player.

If you are interested in reading about the characters and the oddities that have populated the game at both the major league and minor league level, here is the link:

In advance, thanks.

Default Claude Rowher

Claude Rowher played for Seattle in 1923 and 1924. There are 2 Rowher cards in the 1923 Zeenut series a Rowher Sacramento and a Rowher Seattle. Ray Rowher played for Sacramento in 1923-24. So Ray and Claude's cards appear in the 1923 Zeenut series. Claude is the card that is designated "Seattle".

Ray went on to play in the Pcl until 1931 and has zeenuts for every year thru 1931. I believe Claude is only pictured on the 1923 Zeenut.

Very cool looking website. Good luck with it.

RC, you have Ray and Claude backwards, it was Ray with Seattle and Claude was in fact on Sacramento during the 1923 and 1924 seasons. Brimo, It may have been my website you were referencing (www.starsofthediamond.com/zeenuts.html) as I accidently had Claude's 1924 card linked to the image of Ted Pillette, I unpacked my 1924's and rescanned the Rohwer card and below you should find both cards of Claude...

Default Zeenuts

Nice cards, Rhett. I was using the Lemke list and baseball-reference and got Ray and Claudes' stats mixed up. Baseball - reference has Claude on Sac in 1923-24 and Ray on Sea. According to the SCD list there is only one Rowher in 1924 so I assumed it was Ray.

RC
Thanks for the quick reply. I think I got the correct Zeenut card updated on the site. I'd been trying to find that card for six months.

Rhett:
Thanks for the 1924 Zeenut scans. I've already re-posted the Rowher story with your scan of a card that I've been looking for the past six months. One of my other projects that I'm working on is a story on Moses Yellowhorse, just need a little bit more information.

Again, thanks.
