Default My new type set goal - an it's a bit bizarre

I'm not much of a type set collector..I usually work on complete sets. But I've decided to take on a new goal that's a bit out of the ordinary.

I want to get a copy of every card featured in the 1973 book "The Great American Baseball Card Flipping, Trading and Bubblegum" book.

For those of you who aren't old enough to remember it was pretty much the very first book to casually feature baseball cards.

Flipping through the book I'm well on my way already, having every set back to 1957. The book features a lot of cards from the 1952 set. Luckily the book is primarily made up of common players.

There are some stars to be sure, that I have to get. The Koufax rookie is in there, a 1955 Ted Williams, 1953 Satchell Page. A few others might cost a bit.

Wish me luck.
