| Photo date - 1916 ?

Got this PC off Ebay. Not used and the back is divided with a one cent stamp box. Seller listed as 1916 but I'm wondering if he was getting this from the "D" which looks a little like the Detroit road uni "D" of 1916. I realize the "D" could be from any local town team or from Dallas, Dayton, Duluth, etc. Your best guess on the year range of the photo ? |

I don't know how the seller got a specific year-- perhaps it came from a dated family album or estate collection--, but it looks consistent with circa 1916 The high top shoes are old fashioned for 1916, but I think I see a sock stirrup which was introduced into baseball fashion in the 1910s and the sepia tone is consistent with the 1910s as opposed to before 1910.
