Default T205 Latham with ghost "W"

Haven't seen one like this before...faint but definitely visible W on the t205 Latham PB. It also looks like the hyphen on "getting" is missing...but also has been glued, so not quite sure about that one. Thought it was interesting.

Does the "w" type sit a little higher than the rest?
What about the period for the "w"? Is that there?

I can see the "w" a bit.

Looks like the hyphen is missing compared to others I have seen.

Thanks,

Matt

It looks like the W is on the same line as the rest...but I don't see a period at all.

Looks as though there are 2 W's printed on it with one over lapping the other. A line drawn across the bottom of the name appears to show the W set below the line. To bad there isn't a period faintly on there.

A nice find like the HLC's. Need a few more to see if it was possible that the WA variation was to be printed with the PB or not. With the few examples found of the HLC backs and all of them showing faint periods or even a W, I do think it was printing defect and that they may have pulled the card or stopped printing that sheet. I am sure we could link some of the cards on the sheet with simple example test.

The Top card has an upside down W. There is 1 more just like this as well as 4 examples i know of with the period before the A. All 6 examples have the faint period. #7 is owned by YEPBG on ebay and will take an act of God himself to get that back scan for confirmation.
