I know this sounds really mean but what do you bet how many fakes will be on Ebay in the next day. Weaver and Stan the Man. I am betting over 700

If you type in "Stan Musial signed" into the ebay search box you will see 1570 items as of this moment. If you type in "Stan Musial autograph" you will see 1574 items. I wonder how many are good/bad?

I don't think many will be faked IMO because he was a very prolific signer.

The only fakes I can think of appearing are multi signed items with more prolific players, like Mantle, Williams, Mays, etc

Isaac, I must admit that you are now my go to person. Not a forgery on Ebay except for items that have more than one person signing. I just went on Ebay to make sure that you are correct.

I think the fact that many of his later/recent signatures are penned in a very shaky and labored hand will contribute to increased forgeries of this type entering the market. While I’m far from an expert, Musial is one of the players who signature I have studied quite a bit. His earlier signature thru the 80s and 90s was elegant and smooth, harder to forge with a high quality. In the past decade his signature became much larger and as I mentioned already in a shaky and labored hand. Its these type/styles of autographs I can see forgers jumping on.

Zipper is correct. Why pay 90 when you can pay 30.

I would only buy Stan items that had either MLB, Steiner, UDA, or Stan The Man holograms on them. He signed so many of these that they aren't that expensive.

I have gotten autos from 'Stan the Man' and they don't affix the sticker. The hologram is on a piece of tape with a matching COA. Don't just trust that. I never affixed the sticker to my piece for obvious reason, but I never plan to sell it.

Isaac makes a great point. But I feel Stan would be the easiest to get, and the rest forged IMO
