Hi, I recently picked up this neat photo in a great looking frame. As I typically focus on T206's and woodcuts, I have 0 knowledge in photos and have an uncanny ability in acquiring reprints
This particular photo caught my attention as it has a lot going on from the ball and bat display to the ribbons. It looks like the photograph was taken by a man named Geo W Haskins from Rochester. The only connection that I could find with someone of that name is for a gentleman who had his own glass studio (
link). It's my understanding that Culver field in Rochester was in existence from 1886 until 1892 until it burned down and then rebuilt in 1898.
Does anyone recognize the location or anyone in the photo? I'm also going to check with some folks in the Rochester area.
One other thing....and I know this is WAY of a stretch but the guy in the upper right hand corner not wearing a hat looks a little bit like John Ward....I know I know I'm getting way too ahead of myself and I'm 99.9% sure that there's no connection but figured I'd throw it out there. Thanks.
