That program wasn't sneaking by anyone...it's being sold by Bob McCann who I can guarantee you has as many ebay followers as REA has bidders.

Now that it's out there --- does anyone want to guess how much it sells for?

Interesting that Buck Weaver is at short & McMullin is listed at 3rd
even though Swede Risberg played the majority of games at SS. So this had to be an early program before McMullin was benched and Weaver moved to 3rd ![]() |

I love the old Edelweiss Beer ad. I also collect breweriana. The Victorian buildings that housed the Schoenhofen Brewery, the makers of Edelweiss, still stand in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. I've tried unsuccessfully in the past to find members of the Schoenhofen family. If I'm ever successful, my first question will be whether they have a hidden stack of these scorecards somewhere.

So who got it? |

for $940 you could get yourself the 1919 World Series Program which has much greater signifcance then a regular season program.

I'm by no means an expert...but I'd jump at a World Series program in that good of shape from 1919....I'd expect that year to be in the thousands...

should have specified Cincinnati version.
I have seen Chicago regular season programs with Jackson et al but I think they were like 1916, 1917, 1920, and they go for 400-500, just surprised at the jump. The team is significant for the World Series that year. Does a regular season 1927 Yankees program or Stub approach a 1927 World Series similar item? I understand "the year", but I'd need to do more research to see what reg season programs have gone for. I could be wrong, call off the dogs. Last edited by Shoeless Moe; 04-27-2011 at 09:23 PM. |

Jeff, I've seen about as many if not equal examples of the Reds counterpart. Not sure how many that is but they do appear from time to time. Rough guess would be five each.

I'm not sure if I've seen that one before, but it wouldn't have struck me the same as a 1919 White Sox postcard so I may not recall if I had seen one.
