One of my co-workers brought in an old bat to work today to see if I could find out a little more about it.
It's a Louisville Slugger 40K Hillerich & Bradsly Co., Made IN USA, Louisville, K.Y., Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Also on the handle: Kork Grip, Patented Sept 15, 1914. If anyone can give me an approximate date/ value on the bat, I would appreciate it. Based on the fat handle, I would guess it dates between 1915-1920. Thanks in advance, Patrick |

What is the length of the bat?
Is the kork grip still there? Name on bat? other markings? cracked? |

I can have my friend measure the bat. It is an adult size. If I had to guess I would say it was 32"+ It is uncracked. I did not see any signature on the bat. The cork is still on the handle.
Thanks, Patrick |

Based on the information, the bat would date from the 20's. The value really depends on if there is a players name on it.
