"Unfortunately, he (Chase) was stricken with smallpox and could not report to the Yankees until May 3 (1909), when he was presented with a silver loving cup by his teammates
Question on the Chase Loving Cup card --- do the backs known for this card --- match up with this description of when his teammates awarded him this cup? Was reading about Chase today -- and this thought came to mind. Regards Rich |
