If you had a NM PSA 7 and SGC 84 of the same card. Which would be more valuable and what would be the differance in value.

9 times out of 10 PSA would bring more money. It depends on the card though really, as this is a loaded question....

There is no set formula nor does PSA or SGC always outsell the other. The lower the population of a card the more likely it is it sells for more in PSA but this is not even a 100% rule.

There's no doubt that SGC is the better company, but because the PSA registry has been around a lot longer & has more collectors in its registry, PSA will sell for a little more money.

You want a recent example?
This week on eBay the same seller had 2 different 1915 CJ Sam Crawfords that sold via auctions that ended a few minutes apart. One was an SGC 60=5 that looked a lot better than the grade. The other was a nice PSA 6 (though it had some weirdness on the reverse). The cards went for almost the same price (so much for the PSA "advantage").
