It has the "Victor Sporting Goods Co." trademark, and green and orange-red stitching. I know this particular ball pre-dates 1920.
I found the following info online: "It seems to be the practice of manufacturers of high grade baseballs of the kind termed "league balls" to have their ball adopted by some league, and then call their ball an "Official League Ball". Thus, a ball of the Victor Sporting Goods Company is called "Official Victor League Ball". Can an approximate date or range of dates be determined for when this ball could have been produced, based on the stitching and logo, etc? Thanks. |
